Grant Could Jumpstart Downtown Retailers


SAN ANTONIO — Even as more retailers bid farewell to downtown San Antonio, the 80/20 Foundation hopes a new grant for entrepreneurs will spur commercial development in the urban core.

The nonprofit investment group — a brainchild of Rackspace Hosting Inc. co-founder Graham Weston — on Friday will announce its award of $250,000 to microlender Acción Texas Inc. to help small businesses open shop in the inner city.
